ChatGPT took the world by storm in early 2023 when it was made available to the general public. Since then, AI has changed many industries forever and has led to changes in the job market. As it turns out, the “getting better” element didn’t work out at all…

Progress or regression of artificial intelligence?
OpenAI surprised us with new AI updates month after month . Starting with the release of the paid GPT4, through the implementation of 3.5 turbo, the removal of the previous model 3 and many other changes.

The intention was for each of these updates to ChataGPT to make it even more useful and even more intelligent .

Up to a certain point, each update was actually progress. We could observe:

better understanding of context
greater accuracy in math-related tasks
longer understood context
more accurate guessing of user intentions
OpenAI also made it a point to make the tool more useful for developers . For this reason, they added many features related to this, including Chat returning code in special formatted windows and even allowing for immediate testing of code with the right configuration.

It is also worth mentioning the latest update, which took place in November . It was supposed to be a real revolution. It is the premiere of the GPT4-turbo model, as well as a significant price reduction. OpenAI has also added many other features. You can read about them in this post .

By design, now, Chat was once again supposed to get even better . But no. That didn't happen...

More and more users want to cancel their paid subscription (i.e. access to GPT4) - Chat is getting dumber with each update - they say.
