E-commerce is not his favourite subject. Of the four things he is most passionate about: digital marketing, entrepreneurship, teaching and board games, Mauro Calza Pérez chooses teaching as his main subject, which he has been doing at ESIC Business&Marketing School Valencia for years.

But he doesn't give up on the rest either, in fact he integrates all of them into the classroom, where all of his digital marketing and e-commerce classes are gamified. He now adds a new tool of his own creation: The Ecommerce Game , a board strategy game with which he teaches students how to start a business successfully.

He was inspired to design the game after seeing switzerland phone data the strange faces his students made when he heard his explanations and the terminology used in digital marketing. So, to overcome the language barrier, he came up with the idea that explaining tools such as PrestaShop, Google Trends or WooCommerce, and concepts such as sales funnel, user experience or email marketing would be easier through a card game.

The game contains a total of 330 cards and 150 counting tokens. It is designed for four players or eight - if played in pairs - and is played in 12 rounds with an approximate duration of one and a half to two hours per game. Players take on the role of a small entrepreneur who has to set up their food startup in just 12 months (12 rounds) and make it profitable, taking into account the unforeseen events of the market. To do so, they must adapt their strategy to their buyer persona and know how to invest resources wisely.
