Family businesses always have a different aura. They are companies in which, from a very young age, the descendants of entrepreneurs see how their parents fight against all odds to build a project from scratch.
Sometimes we tend to mistakenly think that these children have been given “everything ready” , that they will only have to continue with the “saga” , that the formula will be simple because it will tend to be “continuous” … nothing could be further from the truth. No matter how familiar the company is, no matter how much we have “absorbed” balance sheets, meetings, sales, purchases and countless business concepts:

Furthermore, if the bar is set very high, as is the case in this interview, the degree of responsibility of the people who “come from below” is much greater. Their parents set up the company exactly 30 years ago ; when they were taking their first steps in life, their parents were taking them in the business world. Three decades later, the time is approaching to hand over the baton in the race, a relay race that they want to last forever, one that never reaches the finish line. They want to continue contributing wealth to society, providing employment, solving the management problems of client companies… And believe me, they are going to achieve it; you only have to look into their eyes to know two things: that they have been educated for success , and that they are extremely grateful to their parents for having instilled in them the values of effort, perseverance and quality…

1-. Welcome. The world of computing is considered “very male-dominated” , and Galdon Software has almost 40% women in its workforce. What is the philosophy of your company?
In our company, gender has never been a consideration, but rather the skills that each person could perform have always prevailed.
2-. What is the daily life of the Huertas Cabello sisters like?
In our day to day, we program, talk to our clients, compare new technological news with our father and CEO Juan Huertas, and ultimately, we see everything that is happening in our company from within.
3-. I have received the news that next Thursday Galdon Software will be celebrating its 30th anniversary… How do you manage to reach three decades of activity in a sector like software?
Yes, we are very excited about everything we are preparing to thank our clients for their trust. This is the way to reach 30 years of age, to anticipate and always keep up with the changes and new challenges of our clients.
4-. Continuing with the topic… Will you do something special for this “birthday” ?
We are preparing a gala for our clients, associated consultants, suppliers and other companies that want to meet us, in which we will be lucky enough to have such a privileged setting as the Science Park .
