Quality content can only be created when you have mastered all the basics of copywriting and content marketing. Want to dig deeper into the topic? I wrote this article and explained in detail why I did so. Want some advice? It's worth a read.

What is quality content?

If you work with digital marketing and execute any kind of content strategy, I can presume that you may have the answer on the tip of your tongue:

" Quality content is content that removes a person's doubts and manages to explain a certain issue in a complete manner ."

Another possible answer could be "It is the content that manages to be better than all the results on Google. Quality content always deserves the first place in organic searches."

Am I right?

Well then, we need to talk about this topic.

This post was originally published on Marketing australia whatsapp number data Hackers, Rock Content’s Medium channel . The data is from a year ago — but this content is extremely current.

Recently, Diego Gomes sent me an email with three pieces of content and a mission that left me very encouraged: to draw a parallel between three articles and arrive at a definition of what quality Rock Content content is .

After writing about 155 articles in the last three years, I think I've accumulated some interesting experience ( I tell some of the stories here ) and now I'm going to share that experience with you.

This content is long, but I assure you that at the end of reading it you will realize that it was worth it!

Before you start, see which articles the reflection is based on.
Content Marketing Moneyball: How to Win an Unfair Game – Larry Kim
The first article on the list was a piece of content by Larry Kim (CEO of MobileMonkey and Founder of WordStream) that got me thinking quite a bit about this topic.

In this article, he talks about exactly what marketing professionals believe in and what it really means to him.

Quality vs. Quantity: A 6-Month Analysis of the Age-Old Blogging Debate – Ginny Mineo
Also, in the same email, he reminded me of an old piece of content by Ginny Mineo (at the time of the article she was Content Marketing Strategy Manager for Hubspot's marketing blog) about sending frequency/density testing and content deepening.

This case study is from 2015 — yes, it’s old, but it’s still very relevant — and it made us execute double-volume publishing strategies that were very important to us.

Black Swans: What I learned from Nassim Taleb about Content Marketing
The last article on the list was one of the last contributions he himself made to Marketing Hackers. An article about what he learned from Nassim Taleb about Content Marketing (I also recommend you read it) where he shares some of the knowledge assimilated in two of Taleb's books and how we can interpret it in our routine.

Wonderful, isn't it?

A list of three extremely relevant articles, high-quality content written by professionals who know exactly what they are talking about.

How to create my interpretation of the definition of quality content
I said earlier that we've gone through some very interesting experiences with our content strategy over the past three years. We're always looking outward and looking for insights that can put us ahead of our competitors.

Our experiments with strategies serve as a laboratory for solutions that we can present to our clients in the future, and that is another reason that guides us to always look for new things.

There comes a time when doing the basics of content marketing just isn't enough to get you where you want to be.

In our case, we want to be at the top of the results for as many marketing keywords as possible in Portuguese.

According to SEMrush (data from April 2018) we are indexed for more than 94.1k keywords, with almost 14.7k of them on the first page and 4.4k in the top three.

To get to this point, we had to think, rethink, analyze, test, review and test again thousands of content strategies.

From simple tweaks to a page's SEO title to improve our pages' CTR in the SERP, to restructuring the blogging process, the way we think about guidelines, and posting volume.
