According to Digital Ad Spend, in 2021, R$30.2 billion were invested in digital advertising , representing a growth of 27% compared to the previous year.

Of this amount, more than half of the resources were invested in social media, with 76% of purchases concentrated on smartphones. After all, we are in the era of Social First and Mobile First .

After this top 3, the order by value of investment in advertising was:

Home and decor — 83%
Industrial — 79%
Mining and energy — 69%

According to Digital Ad Spend 2021, more than seven sectors of the economy invested more than 50% of their advertising investments in digital.

Considering the sectors of the economy, the percentage of investments focused on digital were:

Clothing and accessories — 74%;
Electronics and IT — 74%;
Culture, leisure, tourism and sport — 63%;
Real estate — 60%;
Services — 56%;
Trade — 55%;
Media — 53%.
Sectors that invested between 30% and 50% in digital:

Pet — 46%;
Industrial — 45%;
Agriculture — 41%;
Telecom — 40%;
Financial — 38%;
Automotive — 35%;
Office — 30%.
The sectors of the economy that invested up to 30% of their resources in advertising are:

Food — 29%;
Home and decor — 26%;
Beverages — 24%;
Real estate — 18%;
Construction — 16%;
Mining and energy — 16%;
Pharmacist — 11%;
Public administration — 11%;
Household hygiene — 9%;
Toys — 7%;
Games and betting — 2%.
