Moving a property is, of course, a task that requires careful consideration. This usually raises a number of questions that need to be clarified beforehand. Therefore, we've compiled the most frequently asked questions and their answers here.
What happens to the tracking ID? Will it remain the same, or will a new one be issued?
The tracking ID remains the same – both in the old account and the new one. The tracking uganda phone number data ID is unique within the account management system and therefore cannot be changed. For the user, this primarily means that the ID does not have to be changed everywhere, creating no additional work.
Are settings within the property transferred?
Yes, all settings are transferred to the new account. This includes dynamic attributes, the target group for remarketing, and all customer-related information. Defined goals and configured filters are also copied. So, nothing is lost here, and there's no need to redo all the settings.
Will previously created links remain after moving the property?
Yes, all links, such as those to AdWords or AdSense, remain.
How does billing work for a Premium account?
Moving Analytics properties will, of course, also change the billing for the entire month. Billing will then be processed through the new account for the current month and all subsequent months.
Are there cases in which a property move isn't possible?
Of course, there are exceptions that make a property move impossible. This is the case, for example, if the two accounts are located in different Analytics 360 Suite organizations. A move is also not possible if the target account already contains the maximum number of properties (currently 50) or if the permissions for the target account are simply not available. Otherwise, a move may be temporarily impossible because reports are still being processed. In this case, simply wait and perform the move later.
