Coinciding with Education Week, Expoelearning, the fair dedicated to e-learning and new technologies applied to training, which is now 20 years old, has taken place in Madrid.
During those days, various fairs coincided with Expoelearning in the same space, such as: Aula, Red - Interdidac Congress, Postgraduate and continuing education, Schools day and the XI edition of Madrid is science.
This edition has focused on the metaverse applied to e-learning, but many topics have been discussed at the stands and in the various auditoriums, all focused on improving training through digital transformation.

The different spaces of expoelearning
If you have been following us for a while, you already know how Expoelearning works. In other posts we have already told you what it consists of, but in this edition new features have been introduced that expand its scope.
In addition to the international congress, the activity in the digital corner has doubled, which has been divided into two spaces, providing more opportunities for companies, students, who celebrated the EducaParty, and also for trainers, who were not left behind with a TrainersParty organized by WeKab .
The international congress
In the space dedicated to the international congress, the new concept of the Metaverse and its application to e-learning was the main topic. From Colombia, Andrés Núñez asked whether companies and universities are prepared; Jorge Carrión considered what the future scenarios would be for the metaverse and post-education; and Camino López kuwait phone numbers introduced through various dynamics how to apply the metaverse in companies.
Other conferences of great interest were those of Jaume Gurt on immersive training; that of Óscar Dalmau on experiential learning; or that of Melchor Gómez on trends in glasses and digital scenarios to apply virtual reality in immersive experiences for education.
Blockchain in the Digital Corner
The most interesting innovation in the business area was presented by Ideaspropias Editorial. In his presentation “Blockchain applied to e-learning”, Pedro López, director of the publishing house, explained to us in technical but understandable detail how Blockchain technology is applied to the issuance of diplomas from the virtual campus of which they are suppliers.
By using Blockchain, this essential process for any training plan is streamlined, facilitated and, above all, the verification of the titles issued by any entity is improved, which with this technology is unique and completely digitalized.

New for 2022 at Expoelearning: Trainers party
The Trainers Party consisted of a meeting of trainers to improve their digital and communication skills. Through effective networking, speakers and attendees mingled to contribute to the session, and ended up working in practical workshops from which very good conclusions emerged for improving tutorial performance in the practice of e-learning.
Formally, the participations were divided into three themes with three different presentations:
Our dear Virginia Cabrera spoke to us about how to adapt to the digitalization of training delivery in her conference: “How do I connect with my students when screens separate us?”. Virginia also included a new vision, which had not been addressed in other congresses or digital events: the techno-emotional digital transformation . Through it, a process of adopting different microhabits is proposed, with the aim of improving collaboration and activating digital empathy in a company or educational environment.

Borja Garzón, a specialist in teaching methodologies, spoke to us about applying the Flipped Classroom system in a digital environment, changing the time and space dedicated to theoretical study and interaction with teachers. Through a small workshop, attendees were able to share their ideas for applying this methodology by creating a collaborative work environment.

Finally, Luis Fraga introduced us to the world of synchronous communication through live broadcasts , although we were also able to see how he produces his successful podcast “communication for all” and he explained to us how he has managed to make a name for himself as a freelance communicator. His workshop consisted of a live broadcast, in which several trainers could see themselves on screen trying to sell their services. The audit of verbal and non-verbal language that Luis did was great and all the trainers left the exercise reaffirmed of the need to properly manage the presence on camera and how to transmit a speech and ideas to a digital audience.
